VENUE

The symposium site, Nagoya University, is located in Nagoya, the capital of Aichi Prefecture.
Located at the heart of Japan, Nagoya has played an important role in this nation's history.
The Nagoya Castle, famous for the golden dolphins adorning the roof, was built by Ieyasu Tokugawa who was one of the Three Great Shoguns and unified the country in the Age of Civil Wars.
Nagoya today is the core of industry, represented by automobiles, aerospace and advanced ceramics.
It is also the gateway to the historic heritage and scenic beauty in the surrounding area.
Kyoto and Nara, famous for their temples and shrines, are within easy access from Nagoya.
One of the scenic spots in the central Japan is Shirakawa village, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for Gassho-style houses in the village.
The tourism convention desk will be available at the conference desk.

The average temperature in Nagoya ranges from 6 oC (43 oF) to 15 oC (59 oF) in November with some possibility of rain.


ON-SITE REGISTRATION


The registration desk will be located on the 1st floor of IB Building in Higashiyama Campus of Nagoya University.
The payment for the on-site registration is accepted only by cash.
Please complete the on-line registration from the "Registration" page by Nov. 20 if you need to pay with your credit card.


SYMPOSIUM DINNER

Symposium dinner will be held at Tenshu Banquet Hall of the Westin Nagoya Castle from 7 p.m. on Nov. 24.
Courtesy buses for participants of dinner are leaving at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Toyota Auditorium.
(A courtesy mini-bus only for invited participants is leaving at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. near the conference site.)
You will enjoy traditional Japanese dinner "Kaiseki" with Japanese sake and other beverages and a nice view of Nagoya Castle.

PASSPORT AND VISA

To visit Japan, you must have a valid passport.
A visa is required for citizens of countries that do not have visa-exempt agreements with Japan.
Please contact JTB Event & Convention Service, the official travel agency of ISETS07, for visa requirements after you complete your registration through the Registration page.
When you request the visa documents, please remember to specify your name, affiliation, registration number and abstract number.

Nagoya University can be easily accessed from the Central Japan International Airport "Centrair" by train, Meitetsu Line (Airport - Kanayama : about 25 min.), and Subway Meijo Line (Kanayama - Nagoya Daigaku. : about 20 min.).
The Integrated Building of Nagoya University is just besides the subway exit No.3 (within 1-min walk).
