Sign up ceremony for the academic exchange between EcoTopia Science Institute (ESI), Nagoya University and Interdisciplinary Center for General Ecology (IKAOe), University of Bern was successfully done
On 23rd November in 2007, a sign up ceremony for the academic exchange between EcoTopia Science Institute, Nagoya University and Interdisciplinary Center for General Ecology, University of Bern was carried out at the director's office in ESI. Professor Dr. Ruth Kaufmann-Hayoz, the director of IKAOe, the professor Dr. Rudolf Groner, the faculty representative from the Department of Psychology in the University of Bern, Professor Tsuneo Matsui, the director of ESI, professor Kuniyuki Kitagawa, the vice director of ESI, the Professor Arata Katayama, vice director of ESI, the Professor Kazuo Tateishi, committee chair of international academic exchange and social collaboration in ESI, and the Professor Kazuo Koga, the responsible personnel for the academic exchange for both organization, joined the ceremony. After the introduction of research history and current situation for both institute and center by professor Matsui and professor Kaufmann, both directors successfully signed up on the memorandum. It is good and timely opportunity to accelerate the fusion and collaboration between natural and human-social science by introducing the experience of IKAOe with making agreement of the academic exchange because they have similar research horizon and future destination.
